I am writing from my hospital bed after surgery this morning!
After the last two surgeries
The gallbladder surgery and the ERCP
To clean out sludge in my bile duct
The pain continued and I ended up back in the hospital
And I needed another ERCP today to put in a stent because of inflammation in the bile duct that was causing intense pain when I tried to eat.
It seems to have been successful
Yay!
It did end with some excitement
Bringing several doctors and nurses
To my room as my heart started acting crazy!
Not wanting to do anything the normal way
I ended up with heart a-fibrillation
That will need to be addressed.
Hopefully going home tomorrow
To start healing
And gaining back some of the weight
Lost with not being able to eat for the past couple of weeks
It’s been an adventure!
But I would be delighted
To have less adventure and less pain
For awhile!
That’s about it for now
Thank you for all the prayer and support
You all are appreciated so much!
Blessings,
Dave
Much praise and thanking God for the pain relief. May your time at home healing be uneventful. Praying, always praying. J & J
ReplyDeleteSunday evening, Matt, Devon and I were watching PBF online. The teaching was on John 4:46-54; the second sign of Jesus -- healing the son of a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernium and not expected to live. The father was distraught and pleaded for Jesus to come heal his son. The Lord replied, "You people won't believe unless you see a sign." Nevertheless," pleaded the man, "come down and heal my son before he dies." "Your son will live," Jesus answered. The man left and started back home and was met on the way by one of his servants who told him him his son was well; the fever had suddenly left him. "What time did this happen?" the Father asked. "Yesterday at 7:00." And the Father remembered that was the same time Jesus told him his son would live.
ReplyDeleteI had been feeling tired all day, but suddenly I became very sick to my stomach and barely made it to the sink to throw up, and when I bent over to throw something away, I got very dizzy and had to sit down. Then my heart started beating wildly and a I wondered if this was a prequel to my own death. But I wasn't afraid. I began praying; not for myself, but for my family and friends; one of which was you, Dave.
My heart episode lasted about 20 minutes. I finally swallowed a tablespoon of an OTC product I take when I feel short of breath. Gradually my heart settled down. My head cleared, the nausea vanished. Suddenly I felt O.K. again. The PBF sermon, of course, was now over. I, too, had been healed.
We have been praying so hard and so thankful you are home ♥️
